Himal Kalasutra, held annually in Munsiari town, has been a cherished tradition for over a decade. Founded with the aim of fostering community cohesion and environmental awareness, this festival has grown into a diverse gathering that welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds.
Reflecting on the festival's impact, Ashish Kothari, founder of Kalpavriksh, shares, "I've been coming to this festival for about 8 years now. The responsibility of co-organising, along with ensuring the fun and learning for participants, keeps bringing me back every year."
The Himal Kalasutra works to bring together the community for the environment. Over the years, activities have diversified, attracting a wide range of participants—locals, outsiders, young, old, experts, and novices alike. This inclusive approach fosters community action and builds cohesion through fun, games, and celebration.
